  • Colorado State University at Pueblo is starting a new focus for a bachelor of science in engineering degree in the fall. The new emphasis is on mechatronics, which combines mechanical and electrical engineering with computers.
  • DeVry University plans to start a new bachelor's degree in game and simulation programming in March.

  • Bellevue Community College, in Washington State, is starting associate degree and certificate programs this fall in business intelligence, which focuses on identifying, acquiring and reporting data needed for various business decisions.
  • Michigan State University is offering a specialization in game design and development, starting in the fall.
  • New Programs: Business in China, Online Master's Degrees, Theater, Interactive Entertainment

  • Columbia University's Business School and the Fudan University School of Management, in Shanghai, China, are starting joint programs to teach international business issues to Chinese financial executives. The first program will be in Shanghai and will focus on emerging financial markets.
  • Kaplan University has announced new online master's degrees in criminal justice and business administration.
