During the 1800s, segregation was even visible in the medical arena. In today’s Academic Minute, the University of Texas at Austin's King Davis shares his insights into medical records from the Central Lunatic Asylum for the Colored Insane. Davis directs UT-Austin's Institute for Urban Policy Research and Analysis and holds the Robert Lee Sutherland Endowed Chair in Mental Health and Social Policy there.
