Farmers want to maximize the land where they cultivate their crops. But in today's Academic Minute, Colorado State University's Meagan Schipanski suggests that it might be beneficial to alternate planting cash crops with cover crops. Schipanski is an assistant professor of agroecology in Colorado State's department of soil and crop sciences. A transcript of this podcast can be found here.
