● Lee Skallerup Bessette will be an Early College Mentor for area high school teachers offering college-level English courses. This is a pilot project and her role will be to support teachers and maintain academic rigour. She is hoping to use social media tools to create a community for the educators involved and encourage them to do the same in their classrooms.

● Mary Churchill’s article Beyond theCompany ManModel: Rethinking Academic Administration for WorkLife Balance was featured in the From Where I Sit column in the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) On Campus With Women spring newsletter (Vol 40 No 1) -- a special issue on Gender and Higher Education Leadership.

● Rosalie Arcala Hall has been elected to a 3-year term to the Asian Public Intellectual (API) Regional Committee as Philippine representative. The API program has been awarding individual research fellowships grants to 5 countries in Asia since 2001. The Regional Committee develops policies and post-fellowship programs for the 350+ API fellows. Previously, she was the leader of the Philippine working group for the API Regional Project on Human Ecological Balance.
