Arizona State University employees did not violate any rules or policies in their handling of a football player who stands accused of shooting a former teammate, the university said Monday. But the committee that investigated the university's handling of the case found that Arizona State's football coach and its former athletics director made "errors in judgment" in the case, and that some university policies need to be clarified.
Alaska's governor signed legislation Monday that will transfer 250,000 acres of land to the University of Alaska. University officials have long pushed for such a transfer, which will more than double the amount of land controlled by the land grant institution.
