  • Claremont School of Theology: Bill McKibben, the climate change activist.
  • Fordham University: John Brennan, the Obama administration's deputy national security adviser for counterterrorism and homeland security.
  • Holy Names University: Gwen Ifill, moderator of the PBS show "Washington Week in Review."
  • Loras College: Kevin White, vice president and director of athletics at Duke University.
  • Mount Ida College: Senator John Kerry, a Massachusetts Democrat.
  • Randolph College: Josiah Bunting III, president of The Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation.
  • Rhode Island School of Design: Wang Shu, the architect.
  • Southwestern University, in Texas: Teresa A. Sullivan, president of the University of Virginia.
  • St. Edward's University: Sonia Picado Sotela, chair of the United Nations Advisory Board on Human Security and president of the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights.
  • University of Puget Sound: Jane Lubchenco, marine ecologist who is head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
  • Ursinus College: Carol Geary Schneider, president of the Association of American Colleges and Universities.
