- Connecticut College: Howard Gordon, co-creator of the television series "Homeland."
- Rice University: Neil deGrasse Tyson, the Frederick P. Rose Director of Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
- University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill: Steve Case, co-founder of AOL.
