The following colleges and universities have announced their commencement speakers for spring 2013:

• California State University at Monterey Bay: Robert Danziger, the sustainable energy pioneer, musician and inventor.
• Claremont Lincoln University: Eboo Patel, president of Interfaith Youth Core.
• Guilford College: Jeff Thigpen, who as a 27-year-old in 1998 became the youngest county commissioner in Guilford County’s history, and who is currently county register of deeds.
• Knox College: Ed Helms, the actor.
• MGH Institute of Health Professions: Rebecca Onie, co-founder and chief executive officer of Health Leads.
• Nazareth College: Thomas S. Richards, mayor of Rochester, N.Y.
• Saint Michael's College: Mark Shields, the political analyst.
