Thursday night's Republican presidential debate featured more exchanges over Trump University, which was never a university, but which offered unaccredited training programs in real estate and business. Trump's rivals challenged him on lawsuits against the university and his claims (disputed not only by his rivals but by PolitiFact, a nonpartisan fact-checking service) that Trump University had high ratings from the Better Business Bureau. Also Thursday, The Washington Post reported on recent Trump testimony in lawsuits against him over Trump University, and how Trump answered many questions about the institution, which many of its former students say was a rip-off.

Senator Ted Cruz is seeking to benefit from the controversy by offering Trump University "Certificates of Deception."
