Ohio State Reverses Policy on Facebook Postings
April 8, 2009 - 3:00am
Ohio State has lifted a brief ban on postings on its Facebook page. The Associated Press reported that, last week, the university deleted a posting on its Facebook page that questioned President E. Gordon Gee's work on the board of an energy company. Then, the AP reported, Ohio State blocked all postings on its Facebook page. But now the university will allow postings. Jim Lynch, a spokesman, told the AP that perhaps Ohio State shouldn't have worried about the initial posting, even if university officials disagreed with it. "'It's a new feature and it's a learning curve,'' Lynch said. ''We're willing to take the bad with the good.''
