  • Derek Bellin, senior consultant at Freeman Philanthropic Services, has been named vice president for college relations and chief advancement officer at Marymount Manhattan College, in New York.
  • Lisa Jamison Bowling, associate vice president of development at Ferrum College, in Virginia, has been selected as assistant vice president for resource development at Roanoke College, also in Virginia.
  • Frederick R. Chang, associate dean of information technology and director of the Center for Information Assurance and Security at the University of Texas at Austin, has been named the AT&T Distinguished Chair in Infrastructure Assurance and Security at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
  • John Hutchinson, professor of chemistry at Rice University, in Texas, has been promoted to dean of undergraduates there.
  • Rachel F. Moran, Robert D. and Leslie-Kay Raven Professor of Law at the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley, has been appointed dean and professor of law at the University of California Los Angeles School of Law.
