After a photo of a female student captioned "we changing races" in regards to her new spray tan went viral, Samford University will be launching a review of the situation.

The Snapchat in question involved two female students and was widely spread on social media, which was allegedly done without permission of the original poster, reports AL.com.

The photo made its way around the campus before university officials were alerted to its existence. The identities of the students involved have not yet been released.

According to AL.com, Phil Kimrey, vice president of student affairs, emailed the following statement to students: “Regardless of the intentions, these are clearly actions that do not reflect Samford’s values, especially respect for all people. The student in the photograph and the one who added the posting to social media have voiced their regret regarding this incident and their initial responses to it. They agree that it was hurtful, inappropriate and highly offensive. The students’ actions will be reviewed through the university’s student conduct process.”
