The University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa will pay a former dean of students $346,200, reports the Tuscaloosa News.

This comes just over a month since Jamie Riley resigned after coverage of his controversial tweets on racism in America. Many students said at the time that they did not feel there was anything wrong with what he wrote.

As part of Riley's resignation from U of A, the university will pay him the total of a quarter of his salary, lost wages for one year's salary and damages.

Additionally, neither Riley nor the university is to publicly discuss the nature of the resignation. The resignation was signed the same day Breitbart ran an article on Riley's tweets.
