The ACT board named Janet Godwin as its CEO. Godwin was appointed as interim CEO in May, when Marten Roorda left the position.
Godwin has held positions including vice president of operations, chief of staff and chief operating officer, the position she held when she was promoted. She has also served on the Iowa City school board, currently as president.
In an interview with Inside Higher Ed in August, she apologized for some of the difficulties ACT has had during the pandemic and pledged to do better.
