  • As states compete for a shrinking group of freshmen, historic out-of-state tuition premiums may no longer be a sure source of income.
  • The California State University System is seeing gains in graduation rates.
  • The Sage Colleges announced plans to combine two undergraduate institutions: Russell Sage College and Sage College of Albany. Maintaining the two colleges is confusing and does not advance the Sage mission, said a statement explaining the shift. Russell Sage is a women's college.
  • Tokyo Medical University has offered spots to 101 women who were discriminated against when they applied.
