Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson went on an expletive-filled rant to a crowd of University of Central Florida students Monday night, berating them for using cellphones during his performance at the college.

Footage of the set posted to YouTube shows Davidson calling students “privileged little assholes” after they brought out their cellphones to record him. At one point in his tirade, he calls students “retarded.”

“If you film everything and not enjoy the show for fuckin’ an hour then, like, I don’t gotta be here,” Davidson said. “I could just give them their money back because I don’t give a fuck.”

A university spokesperson told BuzzFeed that Davidson’s “abusive language, particularly his use of a derogatory slur” was contrary to the university’s values of inclusion and respect.

“It’s disappointing that his rant spoiled an event that was meant to welcome students back for the fall semester,” the spokesperson said in the statement to BuzzFeed.

While comedians can find lucrative gigs on college campuses, high-profile ones such as Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld have said they will no longer appear at universities because students are too easily insulted.
