The online course platform Udemy on Thursday announced its largest funding haul to date: $32 million, more than twice what the startup pulled in during its November 2012 round. The Series C financing round accounts for two-thirds of the total venture capital Udemy has attracted since its launch in 2010, and was led by investors Norwest Venture Partners, Insight Venture Partners and MHS Capital.

Udemy now touts that more than 3 million students have to date enrolled in its more than 16,000 courses, most of which do not award any kind of professional credit. Instructors can also earn a cut from their courses by making students pay to enroll.
