Harvard University did not reject any student because of social media posts, at least not this year, despite what you may have read on Twitter.
A Twitter post on August 11 claimed to provide a copy of the letter from Harvard doing so, Reuters and the Associated Press reported.
But a Harvard spokeswoman said the letter was a hoax.
In past years, Harvard has revoked such admissions offers.
