In today’s Academic Minute, Bradley University's Stacey Robertson examines how many of the tactics used by 19th century abolitionists have been adapted and employed by those seeking to eradicate modern forms of slavery. Robertson is the Oglesby Endowed Professor of American Heritage at Bradley, in Illinois. She is Director of Bradley’s Women’s Studies program and author of Hearts Beating for Liberty: Women Abolitionists in the Old Northwest (UNC Press). Find out more about her here.
