Alliance U to Close at End of August

Alliance University will close its operations, in person and online, on Aug. 31.

Alliance, formerly known as Nyack College, is a Christian college in New York. It has a seminary that is still exploring ways to live on.

The university has struggled with enrollment and finances in recent years.

Last week, its accreditor, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, withdrew accreditation, effective Dec. 31.

A statement from Alliance said, “This news is a tremendous loss for us who love Alliance University and the people here. We are all grieving.”
