Video Games and Society (NEMLA 2013)
This panel seeks papers on any aspect of video games and their influence on and function within society. Of particular interest are examinations of the potential of video games for education, moral and ethical influence, and behavioral conditioning as well as studies of gaming communities, gamer agency, and gamer identity, all with a focus on the impact of gaming on societal norms and mores.
