Enrollment in law school hit a 32-year low this fall, with the 204 schools accredited by the American Bar Association enrolling 119,775 students this fall, 6.9 percent lower than last year and down 17.5 percent from 2010's high, the association's Section on Legal Education reported. When law school enrollments were last this low, in 1982, there were 169 law schools.

The enrollment of new, first-time students dropped to 37,924 this fall, down 4.4 percent from 2013 and 27.7 percent from 2010.
