Excelencia in Education on Tuesday added 20 new entrants to its inventory of educational programs that help more Latino students earn college degrees. Excelencia, a nonprofit group, has for a decade reviewed efforts at colleges and other institutions for inclusion in the inventory, which has now cited more than 150 programs.
This year Excelencia recognized South Texas College for its early high schools program, and the STEM program at Fresno Pacific University, among others.
