Dean College Eliminates Campus Police

Dean College, in Massachusetts, has decided to eliminate its campus police force, Boston.com reported. The college plans to hire a private security company. Police officers say the announcement was a response to their recently announced plans to unionize. But the college says plans have been in the works for some time and are not related to the union bid.
