3 Community Colleges to Be Merged in Alabama

The Alabama Community College System's Board of Trustees has endorsed a plan to consolidate three two-year institutions in the southern part of the state, AL.com reported. The merger of Faulkner State, Jefferson Davis and Alabama Southern Community Colleges will result in the creation of Coastal Alabama Community College. The consolidation still needs the approval of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools' Commission on Colleges.
