Debate at John Carroll on Column on Drag Show

Students at John Carroll University are debating a column that ran in the student newspaper that said an annual drag show was "a flagrant celebration of sexual perversity" that should be blocked by leaders of the Jesuit university. While that has not happened, many students have criticized the column as "hate speech," although the newspaper has defended its publication by citing First Amendment principles, Cleveland.com reported.
