Oklahoma Ex-President Investigated for Harassment

February 15, 2019

The University of Oklahoma has hired a law firm to investigate whether David Boren, who was president from 1994 until 2018, sexually harassed male aides, The Oklahoman reported. The university confirmed to the newspaper that it has hired a law firm to investigate possible misconduct, but it declined to provide details. A lawyer for Boren denied any wrongdoing. "This is not an objective search for the truth. It is a fishing expedition," he said. "President Boren emphatically denies any inappropriate behavior or unlawful activity. He has been a dedicated public servant for more than 50 years, and his life is an open book in Oklahoma."
