New Leader for Governing Boards' Group

The Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges on Sunday named Henry Stoever, chief marketing officer at the National Association of Corporate Directors, as its new president and CEO. Stoever has experience both in organizations that work with board members (through the corporate directors' association) and in higher education; his prior job was at the Brazos Higher Education Services Corp., a nonprofit corporation that manages and refinances student loans.

Stoever, who begins work at AGB on July 1, will replace Richard D. Legon, who led the trustees' association for 13 years.
