Pearson Names New North American President

Kevin Capitani, a former general manager and chief operating officer for the enterprise software company SAP, will lead Pearson's North American operations, the company said on Friday. Capitani replaces Don Kilburn, who has been president of North America for the education company since January 2014. Kilburn will move into a senior business development role, a spokesperson said.

Pearson's stock dropped on Friday after the company reported that sales fell by 7 percent during the first half of 2016. The company, which is in the middle of a restructuring process, said its results were in line with expectations.
