Heartland Community College in Illinois is still working to restore its online systems following a cyberattack discovered early last week.

Students at the college, most of whom are studying remotely as a safety precaution due to the COVID-19 pandemic, lost a week of instruction. But online classes at the college have now resumed, according to The Pantagraph.

The community college informed students via social media that their instructors would be in touch to reschedule missed classes, tests and assignments. The college has also established a helpline for students who are still having trouble accessing their online classes.

The college’s website and phone lines were still down as of Tuesday afternoon.
