Inside Higher Ed has for many years conducted an annual survey of college admissions deans and directors, presenting the results at the annual meeting of the National Association for College Admission Counseling. (Here is last year's survey.) Attendees have suggested that we conduct a similar survey of those in high schools who guide students through the college application process. We're taking your advice and will conduct the first such survey in the coming months.

In some cases, we want to compare attitudes on the same issues at the college and high school level. But we also want to ask new questions for the high school side of the admissions process. Do you have ideas? Please send them to me this week at this email address.

Would you like to be surveyed? If you are a counselor at a high school and would like to be included, please send your first and last name, email address, name of high school, and zip code of high school to ftroilo@hanoverresearch.com

All responses to the survey will be confidential, but we need to make sure we have a representative sample. That's why we need that information, and why not everyone who volunteers will be surveyed.
