Bribes, a Report and a Trailer

New accusations against a coach; a report; and Lifetime releases a trailer.

September 9, 2019

Several developments of note in the college admissions scandal last week:

  • Prosecutors said that Gordon Ernst, the former men's tennis coach at Georgetown, not only accepted bribes through Rick Singer, but also solicited bribes on his own, Bloomberg reported. His lawyers did not comment.
  • The University of San Diego released a report about one father and one coach in its program. The report largely confirmed what prosecutors have said, that the father paid bribes to get his children in. The report said no other employees or ex-employees were involved.
  • And Lifetime released a trailer to its film about the scandal.
