Having read Albert Goldbarth [Beyond, maybe?], the sudden and (only for me) new understanding that some must feel it a crap shoot, a rebellion, a wild-dumbass dare to live on the earth under an asteroid sky. All I’d ever associated with cataclysm was annihilation and pain; loss. They evidently see it as a chance to sparkle, freed of all consequences but the final one. Now recognize their siblings in deniers of climate change, ocean acidification, mass extinction.
