The following colleges and universities have announced their commencement speakers:

• Antioch University Los Angeles: Karen Bass, former speaker of the California Assembly.
• Bay Path College: Michael J. Kittredge, founder and chairman emeritus of the Yankee Candle Company.
• Howard University: Harold Ford Jr., former U.S. representative.
• Mohawk Valley Community College: Liz Murray, the inspiration for the movie “Homeless to Harvard."
• State University of New York at New Paltz: Gary King, professor of political science at Harvard University.
• University of Massachusetts at Boston: Victoria Reggie Kennedy, wife of the late U. S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy and co-founder of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate.
• University of North Dakota: U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano.
• University of Richmond: U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.
• University of the South: Jon Meacham, editor of Newsweek.
