  • J. Ralph Byington, interim provost at Coastal Carolina University, in South Carolina, has been named provost and senior vice president for academic and student affairs there.
  • Arvind Gupta, chief executive officer and scientific director of Mitacs and a professor of computer science at the University of British Columbia, has been chosen as president there.
  • Bonnie Irwin, dean of the College of Arts and Humanities and professor of English at Eastern Illinois University, has been named provost and vice president for academic affairs at California State University-Monterey Bay.
  • David Marshall, vice president for academic affairs at Olive-Harvey College, in Illinois, has been selected as president of International College of the Cayman Islands.
  • David Quigley, dean of the College and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Boston College, has been promoted to provost and dean of faculties there.
  • James C. (Jimmie) Williamson, chief human capital officer at Agape Senior, has been chosen as president and executive director of the South Carolina Technical College System.
  • Kevin J. Worthen, advancement vice president of Brigham Young University, in Utah, has been selected as president there.
