  • Jose Adames, vice president and dean of academic affairs at Dutchess Community College, part of the State University of New York System, has been selected as president of El Centro College, part of the Dallas County Community College District, in Texas.
  • Irma Becerra-Fernandez, vice president for engagement and professor of management information systems at Florida International University, has been appointed as provost at St. Thomas University, also in Florida.
  • Russell Lowery-Hart, vice president of academic affairs at Amarillo College, in Texas, has been promoted to president there.
  • Gordon F. May, former president of Oakland Community College's Auburn Hills Campus, in Michigan, has been named president of Baltimore City Community College.
  • Mark McCormick, vice president of academic services and chief academic officer at Salem Community College, in New Jersey, has been selected as vice president for academic and student affairs at Middlesex County College, also in New Jersey.
  • Admiral William H. McRaven, commander of the United States Special Operations Command, has been chosen as chancellor of the University of Texas System.
  • Christa Slejko, interim president of North Lake College, part of the Dallas County Community College District, in Texas, has been named to the job on a permanent basis.
  • Rodney Smith, vice president of administrative services at Hampton University, in Virginia, has been selected as president of College of the Bahamas.
