The following colleges and universities have announced their commencement speakers for spring 2015:

  • Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology: Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker.
  • Dunwoody College of Technology: Sona Mehring, CEO and founder of CaringBridge.
  • Husson University: Christopher Cassidy, an astronaut.
  • Lesley University: Deborah Loewenberg Ball, dean of the University of Michigan School of Education; and Bryan Stevenson, executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative.
  • Prince George's Community College: Lillian M. Lowery, Maryland state superintendent of schools.
  • Rhode Island School of Design: John Waters, the filmmaker.
  • Roberts Wesleyan University: Robert J. Duffy, president and CEO of Rochester Business Alliance.
  • St. Catherine University: Pamela O. Johnson, Mayo Clinic’s chief nursing officer; and Cathy Wurzer, host of Morning Edition on Minnesota Public Radio.
  • University of North Carolina at Pembroke: Shelby Stephenson, the North Carolina poet laureate; and Wes Moore, the author.
  • Washington State University: Geoffrey Gamble, the recently retired president of Montana State University; Brad Tilden, chief executive officer of Alaska Air Group; and Mimi Healy, president and CEO of the biotechnology start-up Lasergen Inc.
