The following colleges have announced their commencement speakers for spring 2016:

  • Arizona State University: Wendy Kopp, founder of Teach for America.
  • Augustana College: Paul Olsen, professor of English and the head men’s cross-country and track and field coach at Augustana.
  • Bard College Simon’s Rock: Paul Krugman, the economist and columnist for The New York Times.
  • Bennett College: LaShawne Holland, a wealth management expert.
  • Creighton University: the Reverent James Martin, the Jesuit writer.
  • Franklin & Marshall College: Pennsylvania Governor Thomas W. Wolf.
  • Georgian Court University: John R. Garbarino, chairman of OceanFirst Foundation; and John K. Lloyd, president and CEO of Meridian Health System.
  • Jackson State University: Michelle Obama, the first lady.
  • Rutgers University at Newark: Wendell Pierce, the actor.
  • University of Montana Western: Nathan Boll, the Mirzayan Graduate Fellow to the Space Studies Board at the National Academy of Sciences.
  • University of San Diego: Ron Fowler, executive chair and co-owner of the San Diego Padres.
  • Wellesley College: Lulu Chow Wang, the investor and philanthropist.
  • York County Community College: Donato J. Tramuto, CEO of Healthways Inc. and founder of Physicians Interactive Holdings.
