University projects growth as competency-based education attracts interest.

Scott Pulsipher in April became president of Western Governors University, the pioneering competency-based online institution that enrolls roughly 75,000 students. Last week he met with reporters and editors at Inside Higher Ed to discuss WGU's relationships with employers, the roles of faculty members at the university and the growing field of competency-based education.
