- Susan M. Collins, interim provost and former dean of the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan, has been appointed provost and executive vice president for academic affairs there.
- Michael V. Drake, president of Ohio State University, has been named president of the University of California system.
- Charles Egbu, pro vice chancellor for education and experience at the University of East London, in Britain, has been selected as vice chancellor at Leeds Trinity University, also in Britain.
- Anne F. Harris, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college at Grinnell College, in Iowa, has been named president there.
- Uppinder Mehan, dean of the school of graduate studies in Muhlenberg College, in Pennsylvania, has been selected as vice president of academic affairs at West Kentucky Community-Technical College.
- David Sadler, vice principal international at Queen Mary, University of London, in Britain, has been chosen as provost at the University of Birmingham Dubai.
- Piyusha Singh, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Columbia College, in Missouri, has been promoted to provost and senior vice president there.
- Jeremy Thomas, vice president for student affairs at Oklahoma City Community College, has been named provost there as well.
- Eric M. Turner, vice president of graduate and professional studies at Lasell University, in Massachusetts, has been promoted to provost there.
