  • Melissa N. Gonzalez, president of Houston Community College-Southeast, in Texas, has been appointed as president of Lone Star College-Kingwood, also in Texas.
  • Donald P. Lofe, Jr., interim president and chief transformation officer at Westminster College, in Missouri, has been named to the job on a permanent basis.
  • Marc Parlange, provost and senior vice president of Monash University, in Australia, has been chosen as president of the University of Rhode Island.
  • Dianna G. Phillips, president of Harford Community College, in Maryland, has been selected as vice president of academic affairs and provost at Fairmont State University, in West Virginia.
  • Hal S. Stern, interim provost and executive vice chancellor and former dean of the Donald Bren School of Information & Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, has been named provost and executive vice chancellor there on a permanent basis.
  • Glenn M. Sulmasy, provost and chief academic officer at Bryant University, in Rhode Island, has been selected as president of Nichols College, in Massachusetts.
  • Pamela Whitten, president of Kennesaw State University, in Georgia, has been chosen as president at Indiana University.
  • Maj. Gen. Cedric T. Wins, interim superintendent at the Virginia Military Institute, has been appointed to the job on a permanent basis.
