A slate of candidates for Harvard University's Board of Overseers who proposed some radical reforms has lost the alumni vote to determine who is elected, The New York Times reported. The slate campaigned on a platform of making the university free and also of considering whether the university was discriminating against Asian-American applicants. The university did not release vote totals, so it is unclear how close the election was.
