Many Internships Require Significant Technical Skills

Internships are meant to be a steppingstone to potential full-time jobs -- but intern positions in many fields require significant technical skills that would-be applicants may lack, a new analysis finds. The study is based on an analysis of about 275,000 internship position postings by the firm Burning Glass.
