The Washington Post has published a new account on what may have happened to Jackie, the anonymous woman at the center of the much debated Rolling Stone article in which she described being gang raped at a fraternity. The new account is based on interviews with three friends who in the Rolling Stone article are described as discouraging Jackie from reporting the incident. In the Post article, they dispute that and describe Jackie telling them of being sexually assaulted by multiple men, but not the way she described it in the Rolling Stone article. The Post story also notes a number of additional inconsistencies about what Jackie said at the time about whom she accused of assaulting her.
