Jeb Bush Leaves Board of Online Education Company

Jeb Bush has left the board of Academic Partnerships, a major player in helping colleges create and market online education, The Washington Post reported. The article said that the decision was part of a move by Bush, the former governor of Florida, to sever corporate ties as he considers seeking the Republican presidential nomination. In his role at Academic Partnerships, Bush was a vocal proponent of online education. He co-wrote two op-eds on change in higher education for Inside Higher Ed, one written with Jim Hunt, the former Democratic governor of North Carolina, and the other with Randy Best, the chairman of Academic Partnerships and a longtime supporter of Bush's.
