Northland College Cuts All Salaries 7.5%

Northland College -- a small liberal arts institution with an environmental focus in the far north of Wisconsin -- has announced a series of cuts to save money. All faculty and staff salaries will be cut by 7.5 percent. In addition, six staff positions have been eliminated, retirement contributions will no longer be matched by the college and employee contributions to health coverage will be increased. The college is also closing its radio station and ending men’s and women’s golf and men’s and women’s cross-country as intercollegiate sports.
