New Institute on Measuring Student Learning

The Association of American Colleges and Universities on Wednesday announced the creation of the VALUE Institute, which will help colleges "leverage learning outcomes evidence to improve student success and ensure quality and equity in student learning." The institute will be created with a $1.7 million grant from the Lumina Foundation. The institute will build on the work of AAC&U, Lumina and others in developing a "systems-level approach to assessing and improving student learning across a range of competencies important for all disciplines, students and employers."
