Inside Higher Ed is pleased to announce the publication of the inaugural Survey of College and University Student Success Administrators, conducted with Hanover Research. The survey included 199 student success leaders, mostly from public and private nonprofit institutions, for a margin of error of 6.66 percent. The response rate was 8 percent.
On Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. E.T., Inside Higher Ed will present a free webcast to discuss the results of the survey. The 2024 Survey of College and University Student Success Administrators was made possible by support from TimelyCare and VitalSource.
Both the survey and accompanying webcast are based on campus student success administrators’ takes on key topics, such as the quality and value of an undergraduate degree, academic success, student well-being, life after college and more.
Specific findings include:
- What student success leaders say would boost academic success at their institution, and how well these leaders say their institution is preparing students for life after college
- Whether student success administrators believe their students feel welcomed, supported and valued on campus
- How effective they say their institutions are at making student success an institutional priority
- How well these leaders rate the quality and value of education that undergraduates at their institution are receiving
- The group students trust most at their institution (e.g. faculty, academic advisers, residence life staff, etc.) vs. the group they trust the least, according to student success leaders
- Student success leaders' level of concern about students’ ability to afford and stay enrolled at their institution due to the troubled rollout of the new FAFSA form
