Two people were found dead with gunshot wounds in a dorm room at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Friday morning, KKTV reported.
One of the victims was a registered student at the university, The Denver Post reported Sunday.
Police are investigating the deaths as homicides. They have not released many details but said they believed it was “an isolated incident between parties that were known to one another and not a random attack against the school or other students at the university.”
Authorities found the bodies when they responded to reports of a shooting in the dorm at about 6 a.m. Friday. They imposed a temporary lockdown on campus, according to CNN.
The campus was closed over the weekend. Classes are also canceled today, but walk-in counseling remains available at the wellness center.
