Only about one-third of medical schools' websites make clear that they would accommodate a student with disabilities, a new study by University of Michigan researchers found. About half the websites were vague on the matter. And finding information about assistance for enrolled students with disabilities was difficult on the websites of 42 percent of medical schools. The research suggests that prospective medical students with disabilities may in many cases be discouraged from applying by the lack of information.
